Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 September 2026. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it — in plain English, because that is how we write everything else.
Who we are
Designer.Hosting is a website hosting, marketing-tracking, and AI voice-agent company based at 7620 Rivers Ave. STE 370-313, North Charleston, SC 29406. You can reach us on 843-970-0014 or by opening a ticket from your client dashboard.
Two different roles
We handle personal information in two distinct ways, and the difference matters.
As the company behind this website, we decide what to collect from visitors here and why. That part is covered by this policy.
As a service provider to our clients, we process information on their behalf — the calls, forms, and visits their own customers generate. In that role the client decides what is collected and why; we act on their instructions. If you called a business and reached us, or filled in a form on a site we host, the business you contacted is the right place to direct questions about your information. We will help them answer you.
What we collect from visitors to this site
Standard web-server and analytics information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how long you stayed, and the page or ad that sent you here. We use this to understand which of our own marketing works — the same thing we do for clients.
If you submit a form or book a call, we collect what you type: typically your name, business, phone number, email address, roughly what you spend on advertising, and what you say is broken. We use it to prepare for and hold that conversation, and to follow up.
If you call us, we collect your phone number, the time and length of the call, and the source that produced it.
Calls to our number are answered by an AI agent
843-970-0014 is answered by an automated voice agent, 24 hours a day. If you ask whether you are speaking to an AI, it will tell you plainly.
Calls to this number are logged, and the conversation is processed by automated systems in order to answer you, qualify what you need, and book time if you want it. A summary is kept so a human can follow up. Where a call is recorded or transcribed, we keep that recording or transcript only for as long as we need it for the purpose above, and we do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train models we do not control.
If you would rather not speak to an automated system, email or the booking form on this site will reach a person.
Call tracking on client sites
Tracking is our main service, so it is worth being explicit about what it does. When a business hires us, we assign phone numbers and tags that let us tie a call, form, or click back to the advertisement, search, or referral that produced it. What is recorded is the fact of the contact and where it came from — number, time, duration, page, campaign — not the content of a person’s business with that company, unless that company has asked us to capture it and has told its callers so.
We report anonymised and aggregated conversion information back to advertising platforms such as Google Ads, so the platform can spend the client’s budget on the advertising that actually produces customers. That feedback identifies that a conversion happened and what it was worth; it is not a list of names.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. Some of these are set by third parties such as Google, whose own policies govern what they do with the data.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Parts of the site may work less well if you do.
Who else touches your information
We use other companies to run our business, and some of them necessarily handle information: our hosting infrastructure provider, our telephony and messaging providers, our customer-relationship and booking platform, our payment processor, and analytics and advertising platforms including Google. Each of them is bound to use the information only to provide the service we have bought.
We do not sell personal information. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to data brokers.
We will disclose information if the law requires it — a subpoena, a court order, a lawful request from an authority — or where we need to in order to protect someone from harm.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as the client is with us, and afterwards for the period our accountants and the tax authorities require. We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as it is useful to the conversation it belongs to. Call logs and tracking data are kept for as long as the client’s reporting needs them, and are deleted when a client leaves and asks us to remove them.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address above or open a ticket from your dashboard, and we will respond. If your information reached us through a business we work for, we will pass the request to them and help them answer it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We will honour those rights where they apply to you.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell clients directly rather than relying on you to notice.
